Julie provides speech and language therapy services for children, youth, and adults in Halifax and its surrounding communities. Her professional areas of interest and experience include autism, apraxia, Downs Syndrome, speech and language delays, global developmental/cognitive delays, stuttering, speech and language problems following stroke or brain injury, literacy, voice, and caregiver/communication partner training.
Julie has had specialized training with InteRACT – a unique and intensive residential aphasia treatment program in Halifax and has also served as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a program for children with multiple needs. Julie is a certified member of CASLPA (Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists) and SHANS (Speech and Hearing Association of Nova Scotia). She also serves as a volunteer Board member for the Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia.
